
Managing Partner
Karsten Eibes is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Beyond Capital Partners. With more than 20 years of experience Karsten combines long standing investment, operational, entrepreneurial and Mittelstand/SME experience.Prior to BCP Karsten was an Investment Partner at Adcuram Group, one of the leading German industrial holdings, with focus on investments in German Mittelstand companies. During that time he further developed his strong network in the German M&A community, among entrepreneurs and many relevant market professionals. Besides covering existing operations in Germany he was also responsible for setting up activities in UK and France.
Before Adcuram Karsten was Head of Corporate Development/ M&A at the Berner Group, a family owned conglomerate covering automotive, construction and chemicals; Karsten and his team successfully acquired 16 family-owned SMEs that allowed the group to reach the targeted one billion Euros in sales. Those deals have been a mixture of growth/ buy and build strategy, succession issues and restructuring cases. He also gained significant operational experience as Head of Global Business Development, where he was responsible for the entire export business and market entry in emerging markets such as Asia and Middle East.
Prior to Berner Karsten co-founded Eibes & Fischer International Management Consultants, where he worked with many Mittelstand companies on Strategy Development, Growth, M&A and Internationalization projects.
At Mummert + Partner he was responsible for international business development, setting up the operations in London, Vienna and Brussels and covering strategic clients as key account manager. Previously he worked as an Associate for the McKinsey spin-off Mitchell Madison Group, focusing on strategy/ M&A projects in industrials and financial services. Karsten started his professional career as an analyst at Morgan Stanley.
Karsten holds a Diplom-Kaufmann from the University of Trier and an Executive MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in London, Chicago and Singapore. He also attended Executive Education courses in Private Equity and M&A at Harvard Business School, Columbia Business School and London Business School.
